Monthly Meeting 6:00 PM, Wednesday, 9th April, 2008
The next monthly meeting of TASSA will be at 6:00 PM for 6:15 PM on Wednesday, 9th April, 2008 at First National Bank Conference Centre, Grayston Drive (East of the Crown Plaza Hotel), corner Webber Street, Sandton. Please note that the usual second Wednesday, 9th August, is a public holiday -- so we will meet on 16th August instead. There will be an open question, answer and discussion session on shares, with the audience and traders who may wish to participate, contrasting and motivating their views with reference to indicators, fundamentals and expected trends. This could be an interesting session and could deliver some useful insights into the problems and benefits of using technicals to make investment or trading decisions. Technical analysis often offers insights that challenge consensus economic and valuation models. Where the perspectives overlap is also useful. More and more investment industry professionals and private investors are discovering the power of well- applied Financial Technical Analysis. Technicals alone or used with cycles and fundamentals—can be a vital tool for use in strategy, selection, allocation, timing and risk-management. TASSA endeavours to contribute to the investment industry. The meeting should last about 90 minutes, finishing by 7:30 PM. The Association will charge R50 to members and R100 to non-members for the presentation. The public is welcome. TASSA is a non-profit organisation established in 1994 -- an association that promotes knowledge, skill and professionalism in the use of technical analysis. If you are not yet a member of TASSA, those committed to promoting their knowledge, skill and professionalism in the use of technical analysis or just have a strong interest in the subject, are welcome to join as an associate member and get to meet and learn from other investors, traders and analysts. We hold regular monthly meetings, on the second Wednesday of each month. Presenters are usually professional technical analysts or successful private investors who talk on technical analysis methods, systems, products and managing behavioural aspects that impact on trading and investment decisions. TASSA also provides pointers to courses and the process of obtaining various Financial Technical Analysis professional qualifications. TASSA is a member of the International Federation of Technical Analysts (IFTA). If you require any further details on associate or professional membership, please come along and meet us or contact us at info@tassa.org.za |
