Dear Investor TASSA is a non-profit organization, established in 1994 – an association that promotes knowledge, skill and professionalism in the use and application of Financial Technical Analysis (“TA”) as an investment and trading decision support tool. Technical insights assist investors how and when to use “fundamentals.” TA is not just a timing tool as consensus would often have it. Investment industry professionals and private investors are discovering the power of Financial Technical Analysis to add to returns and risk performance. Technicals alone or used in conjunction with economic research, cycles, quant methods and fundamentals- can be a vital strategy tool – enabling an edge in selection, allocation, timing and risk management. Recognising the bridge between Technical and Earnings Analysis is one of the most important trends in modern investing. The association also aims to promote a relatively new discipline in Southern Africa, although well established internationally. TASSA is a member of the International Federation of Technical Analysts. TASSA can provide its members with pointers to courses and to the process of obtaining various Financial Technical Analysis professional qualifications. Associate membership of TASSA does not confer any professional recognition status as competent in the use or application of Financial Technical Analysis in the investment industry or otherwise. We focus on the IFTA educational webinar programme, with webinars organised several times a year. We hold at least two in-person presentation meetings per year, in Johannesburg. Presenters are typically investment or trader professionals
who talk on technical analysis methods and systems. There are occasional
talks on Trader Tools, electronic trading and investment and managing
behavioural aspects that impact on trading and investment decisions. Best regards
